Audiophiles love music, especially when played from high quality audio products that contain several different flavors. Flavors that audiophiles usually experience with audio equipment can be spicy, salty, sweet, or bland. Now, imagine tasting any of the mentioned flavors in your mouth. Would your tongue handle the spiciness of a jalapeno pepper? What about the irresistibly sweet cinnamon buns? Would table salt alone allure or dissuade you from experiencing a lone flavor? Regardless, each of the mentioned condiment/food caters to a specific audience.

Pristine Note team have assured me this is 100% Indian made and for that I take my hat off and say ” Badhi ho!” because honestly making a headphone or earphone and getting it out there in the market that represents you and what you are about is not as easy as you think. The guys behind this spent something like 18 months getting this just right and with about 50 solid hours of burn in time and plenty of hours listening I can honestly say I think they got this just about right for a first effort.

The drivers are enclosed in wooden housing and looks great with "SA" logo engraved onto the back. The 3.5mm gold plated jack is angled to 45 degree and the strain relief looks flimsy and not so strong. However the strain reliefs on the buds seem quite strong enough. The tangle free cable is nicely braided and looks sturdy and quite rugged especially the lower half is thick and can withstand years of abuse.

The C-12 IEMs possess refreshingly unconventional aesthetics thanks to their lacquered wooden enclosures bearing a pleasing wood grain and a minimalist logo engraved onto the recessed back. The old-school enclosure has been ported to tune bass response, but doing so tends to negate sound isolation as well. As a consequence, you're bound to hear a noticeably greater amount of ambient noise than you would in IEMs bearing a perfectly sealed chassis.

The C-12 is an unabashedly bass-heavy earphone that focuses on presenting listeners with a big and impactful low end. The midbass region is hyped up, resulting in a slightly boomy sound and making the deep bass appear less prominent. Earphones such as the VSonic GR02 Bass Edition and Dunu Trident, which are by no means lacking in bass, both yield to the C-12 in overall impact, offering a more linear response better balanced between midbass and subbass. Suffice it to say that no one will find the bass of the C-12 deficient.

Signature Acoustics is a brand created by the India based audio retailer Pristine Note. Their first offering is the Elements C-12 - an IEM that took them 18 months of research and development, completed with a full wooden housing and aims to deliver the best bang for the bucks with an estimated price of US$50~60 with international release.

SA C12 has excellent build quality. The wire is really well wound and feels very strong; to some extent they are tangle free. The joints are also well sealed. Even though the earphone consists of wood, it feels very light. Overall Signature Acoustics has not compromised on the build quality and has done a decent job. If maintained properly, this thing should last long!

I am using this product for the past one week. This is really a wonderful product. I bought this under a combo offer from another site. The voice clarity is very good. Bass and mid-frequencies are good. Treble is also clear. The built quality is good. Moreover it is MADE IN INDIA and looks very beautiful. The accompanying carry case is innovative.Only thing about this product is that it is not cheap but it is not costly too for the quality provided.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Pristine Note, them purveyors of audio awesomeness in India, had come up with their own earphones! They're called the Signature Acoustics C12, and although there's a bit of scope for improvement, it's a wonderful start, and hopefully, this will be the first of many excellent audio products to bear the 'Made in India' tag

I use these usualy on the bike or at the gym. and even in loud traffic and engine noise it just cuts you off from the world and you can hear ever soft beat. Fits in the ears well too. Though you dont end up using the leather case- its pretty cool. But one killer feature is that the cord is actually tangle free. i mean its made of this material that just refuses to let it get knotted or tangled, totally hassle free. also the cord is heavy duty, doesnt fray or get worn out.

The C12-s come in a black cardboard box with a transparent cut out window which shows off the iems. The brand’s name is printed in shiny silver along with their moniker ‘Hear the call’ at the front. The rear contains the usual information present on majority of similar products. Opening the box is a simple straight forward affair. However, when you open it, the first thing that catches your eye is not the iems nestled in a sponge packing, but the unusual carrying case included. Instead of the usual pouches or plastic boxes that are usually employed, this carrying case is made of brass, has a felt covered interior and is made in India. It can be carried around in a jeans pocket, but it’s heavy. Such an over engineered and impractical solution speaks volumes about the amount of dedication and passion that went into the making of the product. Sometimes, when a passionate person endeavors to make something, they overlook some idiosyncrasies in pursuit of perfection of the core product. This is one such example. Instead of criticizing the impracticality of this ornate case, I actually find the effort heartwarming. The only other accessory you’re gonna find is some spare tips for the iem.

For a budget offering Signature Acoustics offer an excellent package as a whole.  Our set came with a few sets of different sized tips and a shirt clip but what was very impressive is the included case.  The case is circular and semi soft being produced in dark leather giving it a rustic feel.  It is also emblazoned with a stamping of the Signature Acoustics logo making it really stand out.  A brass tin with the same branding is also available from the company as a limited edition.  In our minds the leather pouch is such a nice touch and greatly received especially when you consider the low cost of the earphones.  Finally Signature Acoustics have thrown in some spare filters to make sure your earphones stand the test of time.

India has much to offer but for audiophiles, there aren’t enough companies that offer audiophiles what they need. Under the name of Signature Acoustic, Navi-Mumbai-based Pristine Note company entered into Earphone market. The Signature Acoustic C-12 elements are one of their  products. We took more than two weeks to check out every aspect and to cover up every minor detail from sound, durability and design of Signature Acoustic C-12 Earphones.

As kids we tend to be indoctrinated into believing that success follows excellence. However, it is only when you grow up into a cynical reviewer that you realise the two virtues are, in fact, mutually exclusive. The truth is, when a manufacturer has to choose between spending the budget on marketing and R&D, the best-selling product will invariably be the one that has laid more emphasis on advertising over good engineering practices. Such is the reality of consumer electronics, where large corporate entities wilfully choose to sacrifice quality at the altar of maximising profits. However, every industry has its share of guys operating out of a shack—esoteric brands unsullied by corporate greed and driven by a passion for their craft.

Just one look at the C12, you are sure to fall in love with it. What made me more elated was its packaging. It comes in a beautiful case made using premium grade brass metal, though the case feel like more helpful in protecting the user from bullet rather than keeping IEM; so solidly it is built. And the weight of the case might prevent you from carrying it in your pocket. Talking about the IEM, it has been perfectly sculpted with premium timber. Light in weight and small in size, the earpiece can be kept without any hassles in the case. Both the case and earpiece came well-packed with sponge coating; making it easy for the IEM and case to be kept without any damage.

The earphone drivers are enclosed in a wooden housing with the SA logo engraved on it. The cable is braided and has a 3.5mm gold plated 45 degree connector for better strain relief(this is immensely helpful for laptop owners who have the audio jack at the left or right side since its avoids bending the wire ,in any case its better than straight connectors).Overall the build quality seems quite durable. The earphone fit is comfortable and one can listen for a few hrs to music or movies at a stretch.

Finally a Wooden IEM (In-Ear Monitor), with a Made in India tag. Must be really good! Those were my first thoughts on seeing the new C-12 Elements IEMS by Signature Acoustic, a Pristine Note product, that arrived at my desk. Pristine Note, the Navi Mumbai based company, has been in the audio business for some time and have experience with dealing in high end audiophile brands. A product not just endorsed but made by them should be good, was my second thought.
